Work & Wellbeing

Personalised support to help people overcome barriers, build confidence and move towards employment, training or a new career.

Helping You Take the Next Step

The Work & Wellbeing Programme supports unemployed people, individuals receiving Universal Credit, veterans, career changers and those returning to work.

Delivered by Legacy Skills Group in partnership with Kingfisher Recruitment Services and community organisations, the programme combines personal development, employment support and access to training opportunities.

Personal Development and Assessment

During the first stage of the programme, we take time to understand each participant’s goals, experience and personal circumstances.

Support can include:

  • Personal skills and needs assessment

  • Confidence building

  • Career planning

  • CV development

  • Interview preparation

  • Identifying barriers to employment

This allows us to create a practical plan based on the individual, rather than using the same approach for everyone.

Employment and Progression Support

Once participants are ready to move forward, we provide focused support with employment, training and progression.

This can include:

  • Job matching and recruitment support

  • Introductions to suitable employers

  • Interview opportunities where appropriate

  • Access to relevant vacancies

  • Further training options

  • Continued mentoring and guidance

Support Based on Individual Needs

Some participants may be ready to begin applying for work, while others may need additional support first. We assess each person’s situation and connect them with appropriate services where required.

Our aim is to help remove practical barriers and create a realistic route towards sustainable employment.

Make a Referral

Referrals are welcomed from Jobcentre Plus, local authorities, housing associations, charities, veterans organisations, education providers and community groups.

Individuals can also contact Legacy Skills Group to discuss whether the programme may be suitable for them.
